Functional analysis

We provide functional analysis services to identify systemic vulnerabilities within multimodal transport, logistics, and critical infrastructure networks.

Our experts assess operations holistically to uncover inefficiencies, interdependencies, and risks—enabling decision-makers to optimize performance, ensure compliance with international standards, and build adaptive strategies for resilient growth.

What is Functional Analysis?

Functional analysis represents the “first line” and must be formalized as the entry level of the assessment process. This means that Solution ISPS operates prior to technical design or budget planning.

It can be stated in the methodology as follows:
« Solution ISPS intervenes as the first line, assuming the role of identifying, qualifying, and analyzing critical infrastructures before any operational implementation. »

Three Areas of Intervention

  1. Initial Mapping of Infrastructures and Logistics Flows → Identify the physical and digital infrastructures supporting the project (transport, energy, telecommunications, etc.).
  2. Assessment of Vulnerabilities and Critical Dependencies → Determine potential points of weakness and interdependencies between systems.
  3. Recommendations for Security and Resilience Measures → Develop mitigation scenarios prior to the production or deployment phase.

These areas form the methodological foundation of the “first line / functional analysis.”

Preliminary First-Line Analysis

Identification of Infrastructural and Logistical Risks.

This module becomes the entry point of the Solution ISPS process, preceding technical and engineering studies.
It allows to:

  • qualify critical assets,
  • anticipate security constraints,
  • guide future partners or suppliers according to their level of criticality.
Strategic Positioning of Solution ISPS
By presenting itself as “the first line of defense and analysis,” Solution ISPS differentiates itself in three key areas:
  • Predictive: anticipating risks before design.
  • Preventive: reducing costs and delays related to subsequent incidents.
  • Structuring: providing a holistic vision encompassing security, logistics, and sustainable development aspects.
A clear formulation to include in your institutional communications could be:
« Solution ISPS acts on the front line to secure the design and implementation of large-scale national projects by ensuring an integrated functional assessment of critical infrastructures and logistics chains. »
